Note: Schedule documents may be updated depending on the number of teams that register to attend. The conflicts for any given team will NOT change. This means that you can use this schedule to place your students in events now as any event conflicts on the current schedule will remain constant.

    • Location: PUGH 170 at the University of Florida
  • Coaches Meetings
    • Coaches: Please attend morning meetings on the day of the competition via the emailed Zoom link (will be sent 1-2 days prior to the event).
      • Division B coaches meeting will be from 7:30-8:00 AM.
      • Division C coaches meeting will be from 8:00-8:30 AM.
    • Team Check-In will be located in Turlington Plaza (subject to change based on weather).
  • Handicapped Competitors
    • Should one or more competitors require accommodations, please email us at ufso.eboard@floridascienceolympiad.org so we can ensure the needs of every competitor are met.
    • For persons with disabilities requiring special accommodations, they should email accommodations@ufsa.ufl.edu at least 5 business days prior to the event. If you receive a request for a hearing accommodation, Student Government can assist with arranging American Sign Language interpreter services or real time captioning for all student organization’s programs.
  • Available Food Options
    • Please refer to https://dineoncampus.com/UF/hours-of-operation for current information on available food options. Gator Corner Dining and Broward Dining are the official student dining halls, but there are several other options available at the Reitz Student Union and Rawlings Hall.
  • Parking
    • Cars may park at several locations on campus. The following locations would be ideal as they are relatively close to the event: O’Connell Garage (preferred), Norman Lot (Park and Ride 8), Commuter Lot/Parking Garage, Flavet Field, and Southwest Park and Ride 1.
    • As per our communications with TAPS, the UF Transportation Authority, buses will be limited to parking at the Orthopedics Institute on Hull Road.
  • Awards Ceremony
    • Awards will be announced at an in-person awards ceremony following completion of the events and relevant grading. The location is currently outdoors at Flavet Field, but this is subject to weather conditions.
Tournament Policies

It is very important that competitors and coaches read through all information and links in this section and ensure their teams are adhering to policies made from Florida and National Science Olympiad. Failure to adhere to these rules and policies may result in penalties being assessed by event supervisors.​

  • All tests and keys with raw score statistics will be posted after competition.

  • The tournament schedule will be based off and adhere closely to the Florida State Tournament schedule.

  • All events will follow the national Science Olympiad Inc. rules, as well as clarifications posted at soinc.org/events/rules-clarifications, clarifications posted at floridascienceolympiad.org/clarifications, and FAQs posted at soinc.org/events/frequently-asked-questions. For events whose rules or content differ with the level of competition, we will adhere to the rules specified at the state level.

  • Events will be scored according to the guidelines at https://www.soinc.org/scoring-guidelines. We will adhere to the following safety protocols with regards to eye protection.
  • Competitors must adhere to the code of ethics and policies outlined at soinc.org/join/policies
  • Please note that this this event requires parents, guardians, or teachers to be responsible for the care, custody, and control of the minor participants. The University of Florida will not provide supervision.
